It is important to be on fire to get the most out of what you do. But how do you stay in that flow? How do you stay creative and be able to fight for your dream?
Stay in the flow
We are working on the new Claudio Calli watch straps website. I cannot wait to share the result with you, it is going to be fantastic! But as you can imagine, you first need to put in 100 hours of monotonously work. So I was definitely up for doing something unpredictable last weekend.
It is important to be on fire to get the most out of what you do. But how do you stay in that flow? How do you stay creative and be able to fight for your dream? Right, you take a step back and take the time to do something extraordinary. That’s why we left the city and went to the beach last weekend. To look for adventure and experience new things.
It is great to avoid your busy life for a while and go to the beach. Fresh air and physical exercise to clear your head. Nature is just around the corner in The Netherlands and it is full of fantastic details! This closeness to nature brings me back to the basics. It gives freedom and peace to think about the core values of life.
It was still early in the morning, when we drove all the way to Zeeland. In summer it can be overwhelming busy here, but in winter there are just a few people. We walked a few kilometres and went back to the city for a hot chocolate with cream.
If you are looking for a sense of exhilaration, but don’t know where to start. Here are just a few things that appeal to me and maybe also work for you:
- Try new things
- Push your personal boundaries
- Take on challenges
- Pursue a dream
- Have a regular schedule
- Exercise
- Put effort in your appearance
- Read and listen to inspiring works
- Travel to places old and new
- Give people the benefit of doubt
- Volunteer
- Give yourself a little tough talk
- Appreciate what you have
- Be true to yourself
Hopefully these ideas make you more productive and successful. An interesting list, which is actually quite easy to achieve. Why are so many people unhappy with what they do? I think we often make excuses not to start. It might not be fun, I don’t have enough money, I don’t have time, I might not be good enough. It will not lead anywhere. I don’t like commitment. Of course you will never know what these “hobbies” will bring you, but it will create endless possibilities. Maybe not possibilities for growth tomorrow, but possibilities for joy today. Take a look at the time and stop things that don’t matter to you. How do you break the routine and feel alive?
Today we wear the Traveller Dive Rosegold and Traveller Refined Blue. Read more in our watch guide or about Dutch watch brand Prisma.
