With over 22.700.000 bikes in 2016, The Netherlands has the highest bicycle density in the world. So we can absolutely speak of a country of cyclists. It is funny that Dutch people can literally transport anything on their bicycles as well. From children to groceries and furniture. You name it.
More than 25% of all trips are made by bike. That counts for us too. We love to ride the bike, especially in the city. It is not only good for the environment and for your health, but it is also a nice part of your daily social intercourse. Because driving a bike is all about constant interaction with other people. Whether you are warning your fellow creature that you are passing by or it is just smiling and saying “Hello”. Yes, we love riding a bike.
Another big advantage of using a bike is that you are way faster in the city and you can park it almost everywhere for free. A good reason to get a drink in one of the many restaurants and bars around. Don’t forget to lock your bike carefully when you leave it, because there are always people who would like to ride your bike as much as you do.
Today was a great day for a nice bike ride. Even without a jacket it was still comfortable, so we made use of the opportunity to get out. We took some shots of our awesome new collection; “Traveller Vigorous”. A high quality collection with an extraordinary design. The Vigorous collection is actually inspired by cycling. As a bunch of watch lovers we see some similarities between bikes and watches. Its design needs to be awesome and both needs force to move. Like the pedals of your bike are turning, the watch movement is spinning around to show you your precious time.
